My Promise To You

The Knitting Rooms’ mission is supply high quality yarns to knitters and crocheters throughout the local Fond du Lac community and beyond. The Knitting Room will also be supplying embroidery materials and with that comes creative gift ideas.

My goal is to help everyone express their creativity, improve their skills, and find camaraderie between friends – new and old. A place to gather and feel welcome. Come on in and get your daily fuel. Complimentary coffee and tea provided.

Two sessions will be offered on Thursdays from 1:30-3:30 and Saturday from 10:00-12:00.

The Knitting Room is proud to offer TWO sessions of help per week.  Come sit at the table and get personalized help on your individual projects. Simply call and reserve your spot each week.

Did you know that The Knitting Room offers private instruction? Whether your schedule just doesn’t allow for you to take advantage of our class offerings, or you simply want some one-on-one attention, private lessons give you the flexibility to schedule lessons specifically suited to your needs. Discounted rates are available for semi-private lessons of 2 or more people. Ask for details to arrange for your private lesson.
If you have a group that would like to meet at The Knitting Room you can contact us to set up a date and time.

Cost: You pay for materials only

The KAL participants meet Wednesdays 10:30-12:00 or Saturdays from 12-1:30 with new projects every 6-8 weeks. Come join us in making the Two Harbors Poncho.
A Knit-Along, or KAL for short is when a group of people work on the same project simultaneously. Check out our great knit-along projects and join the fun. An instructor is on hand to help with the details while you complete your project, make new friends, and share ideas. Best of all, there is no charge to participate. Just purchase your materials at the Knitting Room and you are good to go!
There’s never been a better time to learn how to knit. The fibers, patterns, and accessories are exquisite, and it just keeps growing in popularity. Let the experienced, patient teachers at The Knitting Room show your knitting potential.

Offered Monday, April 25 from 6-8.
Advanced Beginner – Your first project! You will make handwarmers and a ribbed scarf. Learn several new skills such as reading a pattern, ribbing, adding a new ball and seaming with the mattress stitch.

Cost: $20 plus materials

Offered Thursday, April 21 from 6-8
Advanced Beginner – Knit back and forth, seamed and completed with a cute button. This cup cozy is the perfect introduction to knitting cables.

Cost: $35 plus materials

Offered Tuesday, April 12 and 19 from 4-5:30. Advanced Beginner.
Mykonos is a new yarn from Berroco. This triangular shaped scarf is big enough to wear in a variety ways and will be a spring and summer staple for your wardrobe accessories. Model is in shop for you to try on.

Cost: $30 plus materials

Offered Saturday, April 23 and April 30 from 10:30-12:00
Participants must know how to knit in the round on double pointed needles. Don’t be on pins and needles! These are fun to create and embellish. Stop by the shop and admire these tasty treats to knit.

Cost: $25 plus materials

Offered Sunday, April 17 from 2:30-4:30
Learn the basics of knitting in this fun two hour class: casting on, knitting and binding off.

Offered the last two Saturdays of the month from 8-9:30 AM.

Learn the basics of crochet in this two session class. Participants will be introduced to the slip knot, chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet and turning chains. At the end of these two crochet classes you will be ready to tackle your first crochet project.

Cost: $25 plus materials

Offered Saturday, April 16 from 8-10.
Interested in learning embroidery? In this two hour class, you will learn all you need to know to get started! You will fall in love with Sublime Stitching’s’ quirky embroidery patterns. Dish towels and burp clothes make wonderful homemade gifts – especially bridal and baby shower gifts.

 

Policies and Procedures

Space is limited in classes. Sign-ups close 48 hours prior to the first class. Full payment is required to reserve a space in class. Unless otherwise noted, supplies and pattern costs are not included in the class fee. Copyrighted patterns for sale may not be copied or duplicated. All supplies purchased specifically for your class at The Knitting Room receive a 10% discount. Unless otherwise specified, all supplies for classes should be purchased at The Knitting Room.

Cancellation Policy

Class fees are refundable for store credit up to 48 hours prior to the first class. Classes cancelled with 48 hours of the first class are non-refundable. The class schedule is subject to change and modifications. The Knitting Room reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes. Participants will be notified of all adjustments made to the schedule.
